Salah and Manolas Agree to Roma Exit; Moreno Signs and Berardi wants Roma Move #82

There has been a lot that has happened since the last article transfer news article that I have done some positives some negatives some signings some departures. Let’s start with some of the negatives after all most a month of negotiation with Premier League title challengers Liverpool and Roma’s Mouhamed Salah it seems there has finally been an agreement settled. According to reported weeks ago the Egyptian Winger agreed to join Liverpool on principle but they two clubs hadn’t agreed on a transfer amount. Liverpool initial bid 28 Million which was rejected by the Romans; Liverpool than bid 30 Million but Roma stayed firm on their asking price which nearly forced Liverpool to break their transfer price of the 35 Million Liverpool paid to Newcastle for Andy Carrol in 2011 as Liverpool and Roma finally agreed to a 34 Million deal for the Roma winger. He was One of my favorite players to wear the Roma shirt surly going to miss him but I’m not mad though I wish him the very best in England. Finically speaking this is a very good investment for Roma he was bought for 15 Million and sold for 39 Million Roma made a good value off him. He is expected to fly from Egypt where he is on vacation to Merseyside to complete the deal and undergo his Liverpool medical to official join Liverpool making his return to England. Roma would get dealt another blow as this morning is has been confirmed that Kosta Manolas is set to Join Zenit St. Petersburg as the defender will head to Russia. This is the definition of betrayal he could of joined Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich teams that are at Roma’s level or above. Zenit is a class below Roma this move was money driven he took money over passion. I feel betrayed by Kostas Manolas when We Brought him to Roma in 2014 many people I thought he would flop I always believed in him I always back him when he was under criticism even in his low moments I supported him I always wanted the best for him every time he was linked with a move away from the club I believed fully that he wouldn’t take it. I gave more support to him than maybe any other Roma fan if he left to go to a great club I would of supported him but the fact that he is leaving for Russia makes me feel betrayed. Not to mention the club offered him a 2 Million pay increase he was offered a new contract he held out for Zenit that will pay him over 4 million preseason it’s a shame of what he has become. A contact as already been agreed on with the Russian side on a four year contract Roma with a transfer of 35 million he could of gone to Chelsea but he chose money over football it’s a disgrace. Roma also were dealt with another blow in the transfer market earlier in the week it had looked like Nice’s defensive midfielder Michael Jean Seri was going to be heading to Roma but Nice president revealed that he wasn’t going to be leaving the French club this summer. The last of the negative news is it was revealed this morning that Roma have given Leoandro Paredes an ultimatum essentially Sign a new deal or Leave for 22 Million Juventus, Liverpool and Zenit reportedly interested. This one I think it’s unlikely to happen as he has expressed his love for the club I think he will be staying but you never know.

Roma New Signing Hector Moreno

There were sure a lot of negatives in the last few weeks honestly its bit overwhelming but fortunately there are a few things on the positive side of the things that we can be happy about. Roma now have a manager as expected Sassuolo’s Eusebio Di Francesco would return to Roma as he would be appointed as the team’s new manager replacing Luciano Spalletti. As I talked about in a previous article I think it’s a great appointment and after much success at Sassuolo he is ready for this challenge the hope is that he can deliver greatness to the club that he experienced as a player. He knows the Roman culture he knows what it means to wear the badge. Now long after Monchi and Di Francesco wasted no time getting in their first signing of the summer as Roma pulled off a bargain of a deal securing the services of the highest scoring defender in the Dutch league last season as Roma completed a 5 Million Deal for PSV and Mexican Center back Hector Moreno a great deal of business to start out the summer window an absolute bargain a proven winner that will help Roma’s defense massively. Speaking of Roma’s defense it had been speculated for many weeks that Antonio Rudiger would heading the other way to join up with former Roma boss Luciano Spalletti at Inter Milan and it had been reported that he agreed to a 5 year deal with Inter on a 40 million fee. However it turned out to be all lies and the player denied he had any talks with the Milan club. According to Roma Sporting director Monchi they were no such truth in this matter and the Spaniard has come out and said that Rudiger is not for sale and will be with Roma next season. Given the Manolas situation this is terrific news he is one of the best defenders in SERIE A. Roma also look to add more depth to their defense along with Hector Moreno they looking into Holland once again as they are in for Feyenoord CB 22-Year old Rick Karsdrop he is likely to sign in a few days as according to reports he is in Italy to complete the move to Rome according to what I’m hearing they are waiting on the Salah money to pull it off. It would be a tremendous signing for Roma he is a player with a lot of potential the deal is supposedly worth 18 million I believe. In addition to that apparently Di Francesco isn’t the only one who will be returning. Sassuolo and Italy U-21 International Lorenzo Pellegrini will be retuning as well Pellegrini was a youth product of the Romans having been in Rome from 2007-2015. The Romans still have the right to him as they have a 10 Million buy back clause which the club will activate when the transfer window officially opens July 1st. It’s not the only Sassuolo player Roma are after they are also inserted in Domenico Berardi as they plan to bring him to Roma to reunite with Di Francesco and Pellegrini they are other teams interested in him but the U-21 Italy International wants a Roma move. He is considered one of the best young prospects in Italian football it would cost them a bit but they have the money to spend. After they sale of Salah another player they have identify as replacement is Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow Roma have also made an inquiry of Stoke’s Shaqiri as well as offered 6.5 Million for Argentina youngster and finally have offered Lyon FREE Agent Rachid Ghezzal a deal in a chance to get a top class player for FREE . Some of these deals are just pure speculation but a few of these could be wrapped up in the next few weeks Roma have received about 70 million from the Sales of Salah and Manolas they now have the money to make things happen.

Domenico Berardi and Lorenzo Pellegrini could both be heading to the Capital
