breaking-news-broadcast-graphics-title-footage-009796250_prevstill

We are in the very beginning of Roma’s summer and we have already seen the Romans capture the signature of talented Croatian youngster Anton Coric from Dinamo Zagreb and experience to Defender Marcano from FC Porto. This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what could transpire over the next 6 weeks. There have been rumors about players leaving and players coming whether they are reliable or not is yet to be seen but I’m going to break down for you what has been talked about and what is on the table for the Romans during this transfer window.

GK Alisson Becker to Liverpool

Valued: 100-130 Million

Interested Teams: Chelsea,Real Madrid, PSG, Atletico Madrid

Champions League Quarter Final Second Leg - AS Roma vs FC Barcelona

The one that has been talked about the most is the potential departure of Roma’s world-class goalkeeper Alison Becker. This is not the first time we have heard the rumors about this but over the last week he has become a hot commodity in the transfer market. With several teams interested regardless it would cost a king’s Ransom to sway the goalkeeper away from the Stadio Olimpico. Roma president James pallotta and roma sporting director Monchi have both said that he’s not for sale and they are preparing a new contract for the Brazilian. However with that being said at the end of the day this is a business and some money is hard to turn down. Liverpool Real Madrid and Chelsea are all the names that seem to be interest at the moment. Liverpool seem to be at the front of that list in terms of Desire of getting him. After their debacle in the Champions League final with their goalkeeper karius making two crucial mistakes it has forced the merseyside to reconsider and move for the Brazilian. However Allison going to Liverpool does not make sense to me from Roma’s  perspective. They got robbed last year with the deal for Mohamed Salah going to Liverpool. They do not want to be the donkeys in this transfer market again this season. To be fair to Roma they knew Mohamed salah’s value but given the situation they could not ask for it at that time. If I’m Roma I’m not even picking up the phone if Liverpool call because you do not want to sell another star player to the same exact team. However Liverpool have other interests as well if they are unable to strike a deal with Allison they are prepared to pay the release clause of Jan Oblak Atletico Madrid goalkeeper. The Chelsea deal is very unlikely in my opinion Chelsea cannot offer him Champions League football which could be a deal-breaker. The blues are prepared to let Courtois walk and see Allison as an adequate replacement but again I think it’s highly unlikely. Real Madrid could happen with  Zinedine Zidane resigning from the position just a few days ago there could be changes made whoever replace them. Real Madrid already have Keylor Navas who has been one of the best goalkeepers in the world over the last several years but I believe the Los Blancos would strike the deal if they think they could get Allison who was highly regarded as one of the three best goalkeepers in the world. Although Roma believe and don’t plan to sell Roma are still lining up replacements just in case. The Romans have targeted Leno from Bayer Leverkusen and Areola from PSG. The fact that Roma are preparing for Replacements does not mean he will leave but if you’re in Roma situation you without a doubt have to just in case. It would cost him a fortune to get Allison I believe 100 million is the floor in the ceiling could be anywhere from 120 to 150 million.

CB/RB Juan Jesus to Torino

Valued: 15 Million

Jueus

Lorenzo Pellegrini to Arsenal

Valued: 30 Million

Other Interested teams: Cheslea,Liverpool, Manchester United

Pella2

Radja Nainggolan and Kevin Strootman have also been linked with moves away from the capital city but for those deals it’s just a journalist writing a false story these rumors have no traction whatsoever although they may have suitors. Nainggolan and Strootman are to Roma’s most loyal players and have both come out and said in the last 3 months that they plan to be here a very long time. However one deal that has a little traction is Lorenzo Pellegrini to Arsenal. Emery Arsenal’s new manager is looking to upgrade his Midfield and thinks Lorenzo Pellegrini can fill that void. The young talented midfielder would walk straight into that team without any issue. Pellegrini has a release clause in his contract that will be activated shortly the Clause is worth 30 million which in this transfer market is pocket change. Roma would like to give him a new contract so they can avoid losing one of their most talented young players. With that being said even if a new contract is not given it is not certain that Lorenzo Pellegrini would leave he came out recently and said “just because I have a release Clause does not mean I have to leave”. Which sort of implies that it’s likely he will be staying. Another player that looks to be heading for the exit door is Juan Jesus. Torino are interested and a possible deal for him that will cost them about 15 million. The Brazilian currently finds himself down in the defensive pecking order behind Kostas model us Federico Fazio and Alexandra Florenzi. His departure could be likely at this point.

Bryan Cristante to Roma  Defrel (Strong Favorites)

Valued: 30-40 Million

Other Teams Interested: Juventus, Spurs, Inter Milan, Napoli

Bryan-Cristante-4-800-445

That’s not all the business Roma are doing though they’re looking to bring in more players to improve the Champions League semi finalists. Some of the players that I brought in could mean that Pellegrini could end up leaving but not necessarily. Arsenal fans that want Lorenzo Pellegrini need to pay attention to one transfer and one transfer alone. Atalanta talented midfielder Bryan Cristante he is considered one of the young talents in Italian football and has received interest from Juventus Napoli and Inter Milan. According to reports coming out of Italy Roma are ahead in the negotiations and according to a report that came out last week it is said that Bryan Cristante has agreed on personal terms with Roma. The deal they are trying to strike is 15 million in addition to either Gregorio Defrel or Gerson. it is said that the Defrel is their preferred option giving them a player gives them a massive advantage in the race to sign him Roma are the favorites to land him.

Justin Kluivert to Roma (Almost Done)

Valued: 20-25 Million

Others Interested: Manchester United

KL2

Roma also are the favorites to land talented Ajax youngster Justin kluivert as he has agreed to the Roma move but they are still in negotiations over a transfer fee. The Roma Representatives have used their relationship with super agent Raiola. They are others interested but at this point it doesn’t seem like they stand a real chance in signing him. His father football great Patrick kluivert has also advised him to sign with the Italians which tell you everythuing you need to know. Roma also after his teammate Hakim Ziyech they are currently ahead of that race as well as they are in full control to land the both of them. Roma are also in a 3 horse race to sign nice midfielder Michael Jean Seri Who currently has a 35 million release clause my guess is that Roma will be somewhat reluctant to pay that amount but he will be worth the price tag. Arsenal and Chelsea also have expressed interest and it is my firm belief that Roma are unlikely to sign him. I assume that we will know more in the coming week but for now that’s your Roma transfer round up.

Hakim Ziyech to Roma (Strong Favorites)

Value: 20-25 Million

Other Teams Interested: Everton, Liverpool
