Monchi continues to rebuild and reload this team in the hopes of making Roma a European superpower. After a third-place finish last season and making the Champions League semi-final he has put together a title winning formula this summer as the Romans very much want to narrow the gap between them and Juventus. Monchi and James Pallotta have done a superb job so far this summer as they continue to pull off deals. In the last few days Roma have signed Santon and Zaniolo from the Radja Nainggolan deal that sent him to Inter Milan. They took the money from that deal and brought in PSG creative midfielder Javier Pastore. Roma have shown their intent at gunning for the league Monchi has pulled off 8 signings of immense quality and talent this team only gets better and better by the day. Right now Roma have the ammo to challenge Juventus they are clearly the second best team in the league. The team wants to continue to get stronger the advantage they have with their depth at many positions and it a world class coach will certainly help them challenge for the league title. Monchi has pulled off a lot of good signings but he hasn’t stopped since the summer started he continues to make contacts with players that he believes can help the club. He has been in constant contact with talented French teenager William Bianda from Lens the 18 year old is regarded as a extremely raw but talented Defender who can learn from some veteran leadership. Roma were in talks with Lens over the past week as things were being discussed even before the arrival of Javier Pastore, Santon & Zaniolo. Monchi met with the player’s Representatives as the young Defender agreed on personal terms with Roma before the deal concluded. Roma rather quickly agreed on a 6 million transfer fee for the talented teenager. William Bianda flew to Rome on Wednesday as he was greeted by a few fans at Rome’s International Airport. Monchi and met him upon his arrival in Italy. He took him to Roma’s training facilities to show him around before the young Frenchman had a medical scheduled for Thursday morning. He passed his medical before agreeing on a five-year deal and was given the number 28 shirt. The transfer fee ended up being just 6 million but the deal could end up being up to 12 million once certain performances related goals are reached. Monchi spoke in his introductory press conference on Thursday talking about the importance of young Investments at Roma in creating a superpower. “With the signing of William, Roma continues its investment in young talent,” said sporting director Monchi.
“We are certain that, with the help of our coaches and our experienced players, William will continue to improve and realize his potential.”. The young Defender is very excited to join making him the 9th signing of the summer “I am happy to be here. Roma are a very big club I’m sure this is the right choice for me, for my progression and for this next stage of my career.”Bianda said. when introduced to the media on Thursday he first player signed by Roma to have been born after the Millennium. Another signing like this adding to a very busy summer proves how well this football club is run. Roma continues to gain more Talent and skillful players this team is ready challenge for the scudetto.
Willian Bianda is only 18 years an extremely talented and exciting prospect that should bring excitement to the Stadio Olimpico when his name is called. The story has only just begun in fact we’re still on the first chapter. Extremely young player was yet to get consistent playing time for a senior team a large part of that is due to the fact he’s only 18 years old. Exceptional on Youth Level and you can see the talent that he has. As a young boy he grew up in Suresnes a city just outside Paris. From a young age it was very clear he had immense ability and not for too long clubs Came calling. At just 12 years old he was signed by the Red Star Football Club Academy in Paris he was put in their youth system. The incredibly Young talented Defender continue to develop his skills as he expressed the potential and the upside of the promising ability the youngster has in his back pocket. He spent 6 years in red stars Youth Academy playing in the French Youth League impressing several Scouts throughout his tenure there. Despite the promise he was showing he never appeared in one senior game for red star. In 2014 he joined French side Lens a club located in northern France. He spent 3 Seasons in their youth team continuing to improve and get better each season. He eventually broke into the first team this season and did very well in his nine appearances for the club. People are well aware of his ability as he represented France at the under-17 European championships and the under-17 World Cup. An extremely talented player that is ready for the next move in his career joining one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
Monchi a great job again bringing in extremely talented youngster for pocket change. Not someone who’s going to out of the gate is star but someone who can develop under the leadership that Roma have throughout the team. William Bianda despite begin just 18 year old is the perfect proto typical Serie A center back that has the upside the be an imposing defender in this league. The France International stands at 6 foot 1 but he’s physically opposing and has 181 lb frame he’s a guy that also has speed and some pace on him at very intelligent Defender to be at such a young age and will learn a great deal from those around him. In his interview with the club he mention that he was excited at the prospect of learning from Federico Fazio and Kostas Manolas two of the best defenders in all of Italy. In all likelihood it is highly likely that he will not get a lot of games this season given some of the talented Defenders above him. However with that being said the talent and ability of this kid is phenomenal. Monchi finds these young players and they turn into Stars. I think this kid will learn a lot from listening and learning from The Defenders on this team. I think it’s also a big possibility that he could play some games in Roma’s youth team. He was brought in to be a first-team player in the near future he’s not expecting play right away but physically speaking he has everything it takes to be an important player on this Roman team in years to come. I think he could get several appearances this season off the Bench I don’t see him starting many games but when his time comes I believe he will be ready. I don’t believe there’s a better unit of Defenders to learn from. This Roman defense had the second best defensive ratio in all Serie A last season. Roma only had to pay 6 million to get this kid I think he will groom into something special for this team he’s exactly the type of player that much he likes to by and that Di Francesco gets the best out of. what Roma are doing with this signing is creating an outline a starting players as well as one’s for the future. They have signed many players during this summer some starters also brought in some prospects to lead his team in the future. Alex Kolarov is 33 years old he has a good few season left in him especially coming off of a fantastic year last season. However I believe Bianda has been brought in to be the eventual replacement for Kolarov. He’s not as gifted in the attacking sense but in terms of size speed and explosiveness he filts the model perfectly. Roma didn’t have to spend very much to get him so if he is develops and reaches the potential that I believe he will this could be an absolute steal this is a player that many people may not know right now but trust me they will Roma is building a superpower and in the future he will be a key piece so I believe what will be a multiple title winning team in years to come.

“I’m here to learn from the other defenders that are here, such as Federico Fazio, Kostas Manolas and Juan Jesus. I’m here to learn and I’ll be happy to get out onto the pitch when I get the chance.”
