Coming off of the Champions League Victory against Liverpool Cristiano Ronaldo somewhat hinted at an exit as he thanked Real Madrid and said it has been a pleasure and a joy to play For Real Madrid. At the time it was viewed as just paper talk. I always believed that Cristiano Ronaldo would end his career with Real Madrid but he wanted something more. There has always been rumors about his exit with big money teams trying to persuade him there always been speculation of a return to Manchester United . When Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane stepped down as Real Madrid manager after the most successful European run in champions league history maybe it was a sign for things to come he opened the door for his departure. After Portugal’s elimination from the World Cup a big story hit the paper in regards to Cristiano Ronaldo. It wasn’t Manchester United but Italian Giants Juventus launched an opening bid to Real Madrid in regarding Cristiano Ronaldo. The defending League champions opened with an 88 million bid for the 33 year old the Bianconeri as missed out on teo champions league titles having lost twice in the final in the last 4 years. The current Ballon d’Or winner was open to the move and considered the possibility of joining the Bianconeri. Juventus’s opening bid was rejected but according to his agent Jorge Mendes Cristiano Ronaldo would be willing to make the move to start a new stage in his career. But it would take at least a 100 million on a transfer fee plus a large sum of bonuses in his contract the desire was to go from the 21 million a year he was making at Real Madrid to close the 30 million and the potential move to Italy. Cristiano Ronaldo had agreed on personal terms in what would be a four-year deal as the teams continued to negotiate on a fee for they Real Madrid Superstar. The two sides eventually agreed on a 112 Million transfer to Juventus breaking the Italian football transfer record surpassing the 90 million paid for Gonzalo Higuain who moved from Napoli to Juventus in 2016. Cristiano Ronaldo in the deal also became the highest transfer ever for Player over 30 years old. Ronaldo signed a four-year deal with bonuses the Portuguese captain will make 26 million a year along with $500,000 per week making him one of the highest-paid players in the world along with Leo Messi and Neymar. Ronaldo desired A new challenge having won everything in England and Spain going to Italy to try to do the same as he tries to deliver Juventus their first Champions League which would cement his legacy as the greatest player ever. He has been brought to Juventus to win the Champions League they massively over paid paying probably more than he’s worth the question becomes at a 34 years of age can Ronaldo deliver the trophy has always eluded them.

UEFA Champions League final -

We can’t go forward without appreciating the greatness Cristiano Ronaldo brought to Real Madrid. When Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid he was coming off a Champions League final loss to Leo Messi and Barcelona. He had finished second in the FIFA Ballon d’Or to Leo Messi. He spent six seasons with Manchester United going from a scrawny teenager into the ultimate modern-day footballer. Cristiano Ronaldo’s dream always had been play for Real Madrid it is a dream he got to play out for almost a decade. With Manchester he won at 10 trophies was he was widely considered as arguably the best player in the world at the time along with Leo Messi. Ronaldo felt it was time for a step up he wanted to fulfill his dream by playing for Real Madrid a dream he has had since he was a child. He joined Real Madrid in 2009 for a world record at the time 94 million transfer fee. he wanted to challenge himself against Barcelona and Leo Messi in La Liga. As the world got to witness the greatest goal scoring  competition in the world with Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo stacking up an insane amount of goals. Since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu he instantly made La Liga more attractive in the process it drew interest from people all around the globe people wanted to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi in the most attacking league in the world. He went on a ferocious run to start his career in Madrid he faced injury issues during his first year but after his first year where he scored 33 goals in 35 games he went on one of the most ferocious scoring tear the league has ever seen. He went on a six-year run where he scored 50 plus goals in six consecutive years which had never been done in history. An incredible tear of instant offense 53 goals 60 goals 55 goals 51 goals 61 goals 51 goals. He truly proved at Real Madrid that he is one of the most gifted goal-scorers we have ever seen. Cristiano Ronaldo came to conquer Spain and Europe. He without a doubt delivered conquering Europe but struggled to conquer the league. Domestically he only won two League titles he came as an unfortunate time in an era of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona team which was one of the best in history. Not to mention the most incredible front three football’s ever seen in Luis Suarez Leo Messi and Neymar. He won two League titles with Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho in 2011-2012 and under Zinedine Zidane in 2016-2017. However despite that in Europe Real Madrid were the most dangerous team we have seen since the Champions League era began. He delivered a champions league for Real Madrid for the first time since the 2000s winning with Carlos Ancelotti against Atletico Madrid. Then over the last three seasons he has won a Champions League trophy and each of them as Real Madrid became the first team to win 3-Peat in the Champions League under the great Zinedine Zidane. Cristiano Ronaldo became Real Madrid’s best ever player breaking practically ever record and became the all-time leading scorer in Real Madrid history passing the great Alfredo de Stefano. Cristiano Ronaldo has 34 La Liga hat tricks more than Messi despite Messi having been there for many more years. He also broke record in the Champions League having scored a 105 Champions League goals for Real Madrid. He won the Ballon d’Or four times as a Real Madrid player. When he arrived in Spain Leo Messi ran the league he was the dominant Force but eventually Ronaldo became the superior Force since Ronaldo join Real Madrid he is first and practically every category. Individually Ronaldo has been Superior over the last several years. It has been an absolute Joy watching the two of them go head-to-head and their endless goal-scoring competition. We got to see the best two players of this generation play week in and week out. Ronaldo got to live out his dream playing for Real Madrid he was unable to conquer Spain but he conquered Europe. No matter what he does at Juventus when his playing days are over people will remember what he did at Real Madrid he took a team that hadn’t seen it European success in quite some time to the most successful run in champions league history Cristiano Ronaldo is Real Madrid.

The reason Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave Real Madrid it’s not really clear at this point. It could have been just wanting a new challenge with an opportunity to win a Champions League title with his third team which would be unprecedented in European football. However I believe the Dominos started to fall when Zinedine Zidane stepped down as Real Madrid manager due to his complicated relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez . Had a Zinedine Zidane stayed on as manager of Real Madrid I don’t believe that Cristiano Ronaldo would have left so willingly. Due to all of the changes that have gone on with Real Madrid over the last few months I think it drastically influenced Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision. There was some talk about the contract length Cristiano Ronaldo was interested in he wanted a long-term deal and because of his age reportedly Real Madrid refused to comply to his wishes there could have been a lot of contributing factors in his departure it is unclear at this point but the underlining fact is that he wanted an opportunity in a new country to show what he can do. As far as what it means for Serie A and Italian football it comes down to this. This is the greatest thing to happen to Serie A since Inter Milan won the treble. Cristiano Ronaldo signing for Juventus will attract fans of all kinds to watch Serie A much like he attracted fans to La Liga. This is a huge move for Serie A marketing fans that do not Italian football will now have their eyes on Italy. Italy as it stands it’s probably the third best league in the world after England and Spain this move could change that in a matter of months without Ronaldo in Spain the league will lose some of its Leverage. Serie A was the highest scoring League in Europe for the last four seasons despite that fact is extremely defensive so things won’t come as easy. Ronaldo is extremely talented and still a dangerous goal scorer so I believe he can do what he does in Italy but there are some things to take into account he is 33 years of age he may not be able to operate on his level forever he has showed some signs of slowing down over the last few years he still is one of the best players in the world maybe still has the best but their has been signs of slowing. However this signing makes this season so much more competitive the signing of Ronaldo does not mean Juventus will walk it this will be incredibly difficult to win Juventus will be the favorites but it will not be a walk in the park. With the signing of Ronaldo they will have left gaps in their team that Roma and Napoli can exploit as the team stand Roma and Napoli are not as good as Juve but they are in Striking Distance this will be a three-team race this season with Roma Napoli and Juventus. So do not count that this is going to become easy for them they will be pushed to the brink. The midsection of Serie A is a lot stronger than La Liga there are teams in the mid table who can get victories and results off the big teams. Juventus will surely be the favorites for the Champions League trophy and I believe that they have everything they need to win the Champions League. Domestically in the league it will be very tough. Ronaldo will not find things as easy this is just facts because teams in this league you know how to defend at an exceptional level he will still score a lot of goals but they won’t come as easy as they have in the past it will be extremely tight but this is massive for Italian football. Italian football has recaptured it’s glory over the last few seasons with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo he has made this league more  massive then it allready is. This is one of the most important things to happen to the Serie A in a long time.
