Since their loss at Parma Roma has been pretty close to untouchable. Not counting some minor hiccups along the way they’re playing their best football of the season. In the final match of 2019 Roma traveled to Florence to take on a Florentina team. Roma wasn’t necessarily looking for Revenge but they got it anyway. It was somewhat of a slow start for Roma but once they found that comfortability they grew into the game and could not be stopped. They continued to defend well and create a lot of high-quality chances. Edin Dzeko nears 100 goals for Roma as he gave Roma a 1-0 lead in a beautifully conducted play from Pellegrini and Zaniolo. ALEKS Kolarov continues to prove to be one of the most dangerous kick takers in Europe with his third free-kick this year. Roma pulled away in the second half as Lorenzo Pellegrini scored his first goal of the season and following that Nicolo Zaniolo finished a counter-attack scoring against a team that released him in his celebration you could tell how much that goal meant to him. Roma couldn’t even score a couple more times in a match that wasn’t that close of a game even when the game looked close there was only one winner. Lorenzo Pellegrini once again played at an incredibly high level and Alex Kolarov and Nicolo Zaniolo added positive production. There’s a lot of players across the board that performed well for Roma the defensive Midfield continues to progress as well. However, on this occasion, the man-of-the-match goes to Edin Dzeko. Obviously, he scored the goal and facilitated another two others but it was the way he played within the game that made him so effective. He did the dirty work clog passing lanes facilitate opportunities for teammates And made antagonizing runs that made things complicated. He is my man of the match after another spectacular performance from the Bosnian. With the victory Roma going into the winter break with momentum and confidence after a terrific display in Florence.
